Interserve partners with BNP Paribas Rental Solutions on significant fleet renewal deal

BNP Paribas Rental Solutions has closed a significant deal to supply, finance and maintain ten MAN TGS and two MAN TGL vehicles for Interserve, the international support services and construction company.

BNP Paribas Rental Solutions worked closely with MAN Truck & Bus UK and Interserve over a period of 12 months to guarantee all the requirements were met and vehicles were delivered. BNP Paribas Rental Solutions has provided fleet management services to Interserve for the last five years, and when the construction company needed to replace their ageing and mixed fleet of vehicles they looked to BNP Paribas Rental Solutions to provide an expert, bespoke service.

Phil Hughes, Interserve Group Transport Manager, explains: “We were carrying out a full review of our HGV fleet. Based on my previous experience as a user of MANs, I knew they would offer a strong product, good fuel consumption and good value compared to the competition. We are keen to standardise the fleet and have all the vehicles with a similar spec so that we can interchange them from depot to depot depending on where they are needed most. We worked closely with BNP Paribas Rental Solutions to secure the vehicles we wanted through MAN and we have been impressed with our experience.”

The new vehicles are completely bespoke, fully compliant and fitted with the latest safety equipment including remote controls for the drivers to operate the cranes. It is a real image upgrade for Interserve and we’ll be managing and maintaining the fleet to make sure everything continues to run smoothly.”

Over the past 12 months BNP Paribas Rental Solutions met with Interserve’s local operators throughout the UK to ensure that the vehicle that would meet the specifications exactly. They worked closely with MAN Truck & Bus UK throughout as well as Massey Truck Engineering Ltd, who fitted many of the vehicles with cranes and bodies.
